Michael Cummings
Digital Scholarship Librarian
Bio:
Michael Cummings supports faculty, students, and staff in integrating digital tools and methods into their research, teaching, and scholarly communication. He specializes in helping support digital projects involving GIS and geospatial storytelling, data visualization, and digital exhibits.
He can often be found in The Catalyst, the Library’s digital scholarship space, where he leads workshops, holds consultations, and helps coordinate the Catalyst PCs, reservable computers with high processing speed and graphics capabilities as well as a slate of specialized software to help you with your research.
Michael has an M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a B.A. in Anthropology and Political Science from Grinnell College.
